Curricula

The main features of our programs are the integration of theory and practice, and enhancement of practicum and educational methodology for all fields. There are three domains in our programs: educational foundation courses, educational methodology courses, practicum courses and curriculum planning and teaching methods for all fields. In addition, in the Elementary School Teacher Program courses in teaching methods for fundamental fields are provided.



Coursework approach

Article 10  Professional pre-service courses in the secondary school program are drawn from the fundamental pedagogy curriculum, the pedagogical methodology curriculum, teaching material and methodology and internship courses. The total credits are twenty six. The credits of the required courses should be at least fourteen (s.c. fundamental pedagogy curriculum: a minimum of two courses, namely four credits; pedagogical methodology curriculum: a minimum of three courses, namely six credits; teaching material and methodology and internship courses: divided subject / field teaching material and methodology course, two credits and divided subject / field internship course, two credits). The credits of the elective courses should be at least twelve credits.

Article 11  Professional pre-service courses in the elementary school program are drawn from the fundamental subject curriculum, the fundamental pedagogy curriculum, the pedagogical methodology curriculum, teaching material and methodology and internship courses. The total credits are forty. The credits of the required courses should be at least thirty (s.c. fundamental subject curriculum: a minimum of five courses, namely ten credits; fundamental pedagogy curriculum: a minimum of two courses, namely four credits; pedagogical methodology curriculum: a minimum of three courses, namely six credits; teaching material and methodology courses: a minimum of three to four fields, in total eight credits; internship course: two credits). The credits of the elective courses should be at least ten credits.

Article 12  Among the professional pre-service courses in the the secondary-school program, the fundamental pedagogy curriculum and pedagogical methodology curriculum are required prior to the teaching material and methodology and internship courses. Among the professional pre-service courses in the elementary-school program, the fundamental subject curriculum, fundamental pedagogy curriculum, and pedagogical methodology curriculum are required prior to teaching material and methodology and internship courses.

Article 13  If the pre-service student teacher has taken more credits of required courses in either the secondary or elementary school programs, those credits will be included in the total amount of credits of elective courses.

Article 14  Pre-service student teachers should take recognized professional courses based on “Regulations of the Practice of the Professional Courses of the Pre-service Education of Divided Subjects of the Secondary-school Program.”
